Evaluation 7
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
I feel as though I have certainly learnt a lot since my preliminary tasks, the images below show my preliminary front cover compared to my music magazine front cover.
There is a clear difference between these two sets of work, firstly, with my school magazine I didn't have another magazine to model from and adapt to, this is a factor in it not looking as professional as my second task. The front cover of my music magazine is also filled with more text and also buzz words to attempt to attract the audience, unlike in my pre lim front cover, I have done this because from my research I found out that most magazines use buzz words, and so I want to replicate this to make my magazine as professional as possible.
You can see from my front cover pictures that I have thought about the positioning and costume for my actor, in my music magazine I have tried to make the picture appeal to the audience so I have included an instrument to indicate the actor is a musician.

Evaluation 6
I have learnt a lot about technologies during the process of making my music magazine, I had never used an apple mac computer before this course so I have learnt a lot about them, however the software I have learnt most about is Photoshop, this piece of software was key for me to be able to produce my magazine, I had never used photoshop before this course but I now feel very confident
Throughout this process I have used different pieces of technology to complete all set tasks.
I used a canon camera to take shots for my front cover, over the process of taking these photos I learnt how to position the camera and different function the camera could do. I learnt after my first batch of photos of my model that they needed to be redone as the shots. Failed to show an indie-pop culture, Then in my second batch of photos decided to use a different location with changes in the lighting (some on camera, some natural) to emphasise the photographs. here you can see a screenshot of some of the work I've been producing in photoshop, I learnt how to use the spot eraser tool within selections. I learnt how to change the saturation and contrast on my photos to give them a more life.
On top of this I learnt how to use rulers to lay my work out in a professional way.
I used different forms of social networking to gain audience response and to update my work and research as a developer. I used Facebook because it allowed me to send images to fellow classmates to ask for suggestions on how to improve my work which lead to me changing the majority of my pictures. I use blogger to post my research and work, which is also new to me.
